Top Quality Golf Batteries
You may think it strange to find fine golf trolley batteries on an electric bike site, so we thought it worth explaining our reasons.
A few years ago we had a site selling just golf batteries, but two years ago the price of lead went up from $1200 per tonne to $4000 per tonne. Sixty percent of the cost of a golf trolley battery comes from the cost of lead and because almost all of these type of sealed lead acid batteries are made in China and exported to UK the prices went through the roof. Many of the manufacturers tried to keep prices down by cutting corners and reducing lead content and it became very difficult to get good quality golf batteries for a fair and consistent price. Being golfers we decided that it was not reasonable to sell batteries that we were not 100% sure of all of the time. We know only too well how aggravating it is to have to push your trolley up the last couple of holes when your battery is only just out of warranty. Two years ago we simply pulled out of the golf battery business until things stabilised. The lead price has now stabilised to a reasonable extent and we have secured a supply of golf trolley batteries from what we consider to be a really top class supplier. They are being manufactured for JCB under strict quality control and meet the standards we are happy with, so will provide good service and life if cared for and charged with a proper charger. We think the prices are very fair for such quality and include shipping to your door as long as you are in mainland UK. We have added our golf batteries to our bike site to save the cost of developing a new site and to avoid paying the search engines large fees to get our product onto page one when you search for a golf battery.
